To further drive the new rural construction, the whole district followed a principle of comprehensive development and typical demonstration, making great strides.
According to reports, in just last year alone, funds for new rural construction in our district reached 11458 million yuan, with 10158 million yuan going towards infrastructure and 1300 million yuan towards non-infrastructure projects (1 billion yuan for agricultural industrialization and 300 million yuan for improving farmers' quality). The infrastructure involved 12 member units and covered projects such as creating civilized eco-villages, building fitness squares in villages streets, hardening main roads. These were divided into three categories: government-led initiatives, government-guided support, and competitive applications from villages. In practice,
the whole district worked according to "six standards" guidelines. Additionally,
we identified 20 ecological villages around road networks along with industrial parks,
agricultural demonstration sites,
and scenic spots as well as commercial professional villages to build model communities that could lead by example. We particularly focused on supporting the development of ten key demonstration villages
which completed all their project constructions according to plan
creating exemplary new rural areas like grey pot mouth
east horse stable
corn picking hamlet
and west youth hamlet.
Furthermore during the construction process we strengthened supervision ensuring that new rural construction was treated seriously as a people's heart project.
The relevant departments at all levels took full advantage of publicity efforts in promoting new rural construction creating a favorable atmosphere throughout the region.
As of now,
all but waste treatment facilities under these twenty items have been completed except for electricification which will be carried out next year; other tasks have been accomplished successfully. From2009-2010
seventeen towns passed city-level evaluations becoming civilized eco-villages while from2010-2011
twenty towns had completed an impressive total workload of85%.
